Résumé Du travail à l'action publique, les dispositifs d'évaluation font aujourd'hui système en exerçant une emprise croissante sur nos vies. Si chacun de ces dispositifs apparaît vulnérable à la critique, la machinerie de l'évaluation, soudée par un même esprit de classement et de comparaison systématique, est devenue largement autonome. Ce qui rend la critique de l'évaluation si difficile, c'est le fait qu'elle allie l'exercice de la rationalité instrumentale, caractéristique de la modernité, avec la poursuite de finalités éthiques peu contestées telles que la justice ou la démocratie.

AbstractIt is assumed that multi‐parenthood continues to be a very minor form of family organisation, even among same‐sex couples. Nevertheless there is a great variety of situations within these minority configurations, which can be characterised by various linkages between couple relationships and parenthood relationships. Moreover, the families in question invent tools and rituals which allow daily situations to be regulated and new family narratives to be constructed. It must be stressed that these inventions require significant material and cultural resources. While practical regulation is fairly similar in the case of all blended families, symbolic regulation is both simpler and more difficult, according to the family configurations involved. Indeed, co‐parenthood avoids the consequences of couples breaking up, which often alters the life of blended families. In contrast, symbolisation requires much imagination. Above all, the absence of any legal recognition of "additional" parents remains a permanent source of insecurity and tension.

AbstractWhat relationships do same‐sex parent families foster daily at school? Do they feel as welcome as any other family? Up until now, few studies exist on this subject, not only in France but internationally. The objective of this paper is therefore to rectify this lack through exploring the relationships that lesbian‐parented and gay‐parented families foster with educational establishments. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis of the DEVHOM study reveals that these parents deploy a certain number of strategies with the aim of preventing homophobia to which they or their child could fall victim. These strategies are based on: (1) a well‐considered choice of school; (2) controlled strategies of exposure; and (3) active participation in school life. Certain moments in school life are critical when it comes to dealing with parents and teaching staff (the election of parent representatives, administrative registration, "mother's day, father's day"). All the strategies put in place by same‐sex parents seem to prove effective as these parents feel little discrimination and consider that their children foster a positive relationship with their school.

Initially employed by lawyers and geopolitical experts, the concept of 'grey zones' can be usefully applied to analyse the recent changes on the labour market. It provides a means of bypassing the dualist approaches that contrast waged work and self-employment, insiders and outsiders, or, then again, formal and informal work in a binary way. It provides visibility of the decoherence between the institutions associated with waged status and actual employment practices, and the layering of several different kinds of regulation. The 'grey zones' approach thus provides an analytical framework for understanding a wide variety of situations and studying various processes of institutional change, giving the actors of this change their rightful place. Although grey zones are often areas where laws are absent or weak, through these actors they can also give rise to new institutions.

In light of the renewed expansion of independent work and the blurring of the boundaries between wage labour and independence, the emergence of new collective actors in the space between wage labour and independent work/contracting is of critical significance. In this article we propose to highlight two experiences of collective action, both in France. On the one hand, we examine the Intermittent and Precarious Workers Coordination and, on the other, the project launched by a Coopérative d'Activité et d'Emploi (CAE: employment and activity cooperative or BEC: Business and Employment Cooperative) with the aim of evolving towards a 'work mutuality'. While quite different with regard to their origins and means of mobilisation, these experiences nevertheless share two common significant traits: they are both what we term 'instituting factories' ( fabriques instituantes); and they both experiment with non-hierarchical forms of decision-making, organisation and collaboration. We attempt to shed light on the background of these two experiences of collective action whose origins are rooted in professional situations on the margins of the salariat, as well as upon the innovative displacements they introduce into the working world by re-interrogating forms of workplace democracy.

L'article montre comment les Coopératives d'Activité et d'Emploi (CAE) constituent des fabriques d'innovation institutionnelle : elles élaborent de nouvelles formes de relations professionnelles et de liens entre activité individuelle et engagement collectif. Nous analysons d'abord l'histoire des CAE en France, leurs racines sociales et politiques et la tension qui traverse le développement de leur projet singulier. Puis, nous nous focalisons sur une CAE, pour analyser la fabrique institutionnelle qui est au cœur de son évolution, avant d'en interroger la portée et les limites pour imaginer de nouvelles institutions, au-delà de la logique binaire à l'intérieur de laquelle a été enfermé le travail.

Les auteurs étudient, dans cet article, comment s'articulent différentes représentations des rapports entre santé et travail dans les commissions d'attribution des droits aux personnes handicapées. En accueillant des travailleurs rejetés aux marges du salariat pour raisons de santé, ces commissions se trouvent régulièrement confrontées à « ce que le travail fait à la santé » sous son versant le plus sombre, en termes d'usure physique et morale. Les membres des commissions doivent décider sans cesse jusqu'où il incombe aux maisons du handicap de pallier les défaillances du marché du travail et les dysfonctionnements des collectifs professionnels.

Cet article interroge les figures de la participation des usagers dans les nouveaux dispositifs d'attribution des droits sociaux liés au handicap, à partir d'investigations au sein de deux MDPH (Maisons départementales des personnes handicapées). Après avoir précisé le cadre légal, nous étudions les diverses formes prises par la participation des usagers, à travers les interventions individuelles, puis à travers celles des associations représentatives. Nos observations permettent ainsi d'identifier quatre principaux registres d'expression mobilisés par les usagers pour « défendre leur cas » : mettre en scène son handicap ; argumenter par des données factuelles ; faire appel au sens moral ; revendiquer la reconnaissance du mérite. Nous repérons de même cinq figures différentes de participation associative : contester l'expertise professionnelle ; plaider la cause des personnes handicapées ; jouer un rôle de vigilance éthique ; donner un avis de sens commun ; défendre une philosophie de l'intégration des personnes handicapées. On constate que la mise en œuvre concrète des dispositifs de participation des usagers pose un problème majeur : comment éviter que la prise en compte des subjectivités et l'expression des usagers ne se réduisent à l'étalage public de la souffrance ? À cet égard, les conditions d'audition des personnes apparaissent comme un enjeu crucial, de même que le développement des capacités d'expertise détenues par les représentants associatifs.
